Tokyo Robots 2005
The exhibition, which goes by an official name of the 2005 International Robot Exhibition (also abreviated as iREX 2005, lists, as the basic concepts:
- Harmonization with mankind is intended We encourage development of intelligent and systematic robots, intend harmonization with mankind, and contribute to sound development of robots.
- We pursue the possibility of robot technology (RT) that covers from manufacturing to personal life This exhibition gathers the state-of-the-art robot technology. The scope covers widely the state-of-the-art robots for "manufacture," "non-manufacture," and "consumer." The exhibition addresses wide application of robot technology (RT) and pursues its possibility.
- It contributes to the world. Japan ranks high in the world in terms of number of robots produced and possessed. This exhibition is held in Japan as one of the largest trade shows in the world. At present, robots are not limited to the manufacture area. Robots are expected to make social contribution widely in the fields of bio, public, medical, welfare, and lives etc. Under such circumstances, the newest information about robots will be conveyed, through this exhibition, to visitors not only from Japan but also from Asia, Europe and America.
The exhibition is held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, aka the "Big Sight", in Ariake [near Odaiba].
The next exhibit will be held in 2007.
