Sanyo C4 MPEG-4 Camera

sanyo-c4-small.jpgThe Sanyo Xacti C4 or C5 was the camera I saw at the Apple Store in Ginza - there were a dozen or so attached to the iBooks and powerbooks on display. It's just a bit bigger than a cell phone, records on an SD chip, takes stills and 30 fpm MPEG-4 videos, has a 5.8 optical zoom, an image stabilizer, and wind noise reduction circuitry.

I next saw a couple at the softmap store in the Muji building just off of Ginza. There were three models - a 2 Mpixel version for ¥19800 (no battery charger), a 3 Mpixel version for ¥28700 (no english manual), and a 4 Mpixel version for ¥38900. I settled for the 3 Mpixel version :)

There are also C5, C6, and C7 models.
